All-girl Raleigh punk band Barren Girls, formerly known as Lazy Janes, has just joined the ever growing roster of great acts signed to Merge Records. Mac McCaughan saw the band at last year's Hopscotch Festival, which got the ball rolling.
Merge will release the band's debut EP Hell Hymns on 7" vinyl and as a digital download on April 2. The four songs were recorded with William Evans of
