Up and coming Charlotte alt-folk band Matrimony just released their first major label release on Columbia Records earlier this month, an EP titled Montibello Drive. The band will be on the road this summer in support of the EP and they'll make a stop in the Triangle.
The band will play Local 506 in Chapel Hill on Friday, July 26. Tickets are on sale now via Etix for $10.

Matrimony signs with Columbia Records, new album next year
There is big news this week for Charlotte-based alt-folk band Matrimony. They have signed a deal with Columbia Records, which will release the band's new album in 2013. They are currently recording with Jay Joyce.
The band has released a music video for the song "Obey Your Guns," which will be on the new album. Check out the video below.
