Cloud Nothings announce new album, big spring tour


Ohio indie trio Cloud Nothings will release their third full-length album Here and Nowhere Else on April 1 and then they'll hit the road on a big spring tour in support of it.

The band will play the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Thursday, April 17. Ryley Walker will open. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketfly for $12.

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart announces spring tour


New York indie pop band The Pains of Being Pure at Heart are heading down to the South By Southwest Music Conference in Austin in March and they've announced a short tour around the festival.

On the way south they'll stop at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Sunday, March 9. Eternal Summers will open. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketfly for $12.

Twenty One Pilots announce spring tour, coming to Carrboro


Ohio indie pop duo Twenty One Pilots will take their latest album Vessel back on the road this spring as they head out on a big tour that will bring them to the Triangle.

They'll play the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Tuesday, April 8. NONONO and Hunter Hunted will open. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. today Friday, February 7, via Ticketfly for $20.

Angel Olsen announces 'Burn Your Fire for No Witness' tour


Singer-songwriter Angel Olsen blew folks away at last year's Hopscotch Music Festival (check out a write-up and photos of her set HERE) and now she's gearing up for the release of a new album on February 18 titled Burn Your Fire for No Witness. As is the custom, a tour will follow the release and it will include a return to the Triangle.

Of Montreal announces spring tour, returning to Carrboro


Georgia indie rockers of Montreal, led by the charismatic and occasionally unpredictable singer-songwriter Kevin Barnes, is hitting the road this spring on a big U.S. tour that will bring the band back to their usual Triangle venue.

The Zombies announce spring tour, returning to Carrboro

Rhett Miller announces spring tour, coming to Carrboro


Old 97's frontman Rhett Miller is heading out on the road to play some solo shows this spring and he'll be making his way to a smaller room in the Triangle than the band's normal stop.

San Fermin announces 2014 dates, coming to Carrboro

Hiss Golden Messenger to play 'Bad Debt' in Carrboro

As we mentioned a few months back, Hiss Golden Messenger will be reissuing his 2011 album Bad Debt on January 14 and now M.C. Taylor and the gang has scheduled a big release show in the Triangle.

Bombay Bicycle Club announces new album, spring tour with Royal Canoes

Texas indie rockers Okkervil River released their seventh full-length album earlier this year titled The Silver Gymnasium and they've just announced some 2014 spring tour dates that will bring them to the Triangle.

WKNC Double Barrel Benefit grows in 2014, The Love Language & Mount Moriah to headline


2014 will bring some dramatic changes and growth to the annual Double Barrel benefit concerts that help raise money for NC State's college radio station, WKNC. Instead of two consecutive nights at a mid-size club in Raleigh this year, the event will happen over two weekends in considerably larger clubs in two different Triangle cities.

Robyn Hitchcock announces 2014 dates, two nights in Carrboro


Acclaimed English singer-songwriter Robyn Hitchcock released his latest album Love From London earlier this year via Yep Roc Records. He has announced a few early 2014 tour dates and he'll stop in the Triangle for two nights.

Against Me! announces new album, winter tour


Florida punk rockers Against Me! are gearing up for the release of their sixth studio album, the aptly titled Transgender Dysphoria Blues, on January 21. This is the first album from the band since frontwoman Laura Jane Grace (formerly known as Thomas James Gabel) came out as a transgender woman.
